After securing their first official win together as a tag team against a few local Canadian enhancement talents, Chris Jericho and Big Bill decided to stick around in the ring for “The Learning Tree” to address his home country crowd in Edmonton, Alberta.

“Thanks, guys, thanks; I just wanted to say it's always a pleasure to come back to Calgary… Edmonton,” Chris Jericho said as the crowd booed him for his mistake. “I deserve it, I deserve it, that was a mistake, I apologize. When you've been traveling around the world as often as I have, making memories that last a lifetime for people, sometimes you make a mistake, but we learn from mistakes; that's what ‘The Learning Tree' does! Thank you. I know people are saying, ‘Jericho's back on Dynamite again?' Yeah, of course I am! I wish I could be on for two hours straight, you know I would if I could!” Chris Jericho told the crowd in Edmonton on AEW Dynamite.

“But I'm here now as the For The World Champion, which means this championship is for all of you. I think you for that and while I'm thanking people, I wanna thank Big Bill, the redwood, the giant redwood here; what a great job you did here tonight! Good good, he's been pulled into the Jericho Vortex, he's already taking pointers from ‘The Learning Tree' on how to win, you did a good job tonight, man. I also want to thank Shibata, what a great match we had last week, it was the number one match on Cagematch if you can believe that! We chopped each other 79 times, he headbutted me with a trashcan, I threw a hockey puck in his face, que sera sera, right?

“I also want to thank Hook, we haven't seen him since he essentially hit himself in the face with a baseball bat at Dynasty. But Hook, take as much time as you want, I know you're still thinking about the lessons that ‘The Learning Tree' taught you. Wow, Tony Schiavone!”

Tony Schiavone entered the ring and let Jericho and Co know that Hook is heading back to AEW next week.

“Well, all right then, well, as we look forward to the return of Hook. Hook, we're gonna celebrate together; we're all going to celebrate together, right? Thanks guys!”

Welp, there you go, folks; it would appear Jericho has lined up his first challenger for the FTW Championship at… some point in the future, and considering the current state of Taz, this match, whenever it happens, has the potential to be a defining moment in the history of “The Learning Tree.”

Brian Myers isn't angry at Chris Jericho for stealing his gimmick.

Speaking of “The Learning Tree,” did you know Chris Jericho isn't the only ex-WWE guy to use that moniker, with Brian Myers using the gimmick in TNA alongside VSK and Zicky Dice before the group came to an end? Asked about Jericho using the moniker by Bill Prichard of WrestleZone, Myers let it be known that he doesn't care what Jericho is doing, as he's happy to be in The System now in TNA.

“Here‘s my thoughts on that. When that was said or whatever on television, I was on a family vacation, about as disconnected from wrestling and my phone as I’ve been in years, having a wonderful time. My timeline and mentions blew up, and I couldn’t have given a f**king s**t about it, so there’s your answer,” Brian Myers told WrestleZone. “I don’t give a s**t. I never trademarked it. If Chris wants it, he can have it. We have the same f**king trademark lawyer. He can have at it. The Learning Tree in TNA Wrestling was super fun and something I thought was really growing and clicking and being a very entertaining part of the show. But ultimately, it doesn’t matter to me because The System right now is literally the biggest thing on the show, so what do I care about The Learning Tree?”

Did some fans turn their head up when they learned that Jericho was going to be using “The Learning Tree” as his newest gimmick? Totally, Myers was just using the moniker a few years ago, and while it didn't get massively over, it was featured on television for multiple months over multiple Pay-Per-View cycles. Still, based on what Jericho is pushing right now, it's safe to say his gimmick is different from what Myers was doing in the Impact Zone and anything he's done in his career, for that matter, too.
