Alex Caceres (21-14) has gone 16-12-0-1 in over a decade of action in the UFC. He's reinvented himself as a fighter multiple times throughout his career and has won four of his last six fights. His last fight was a unanimous decision loss during the return of Giga Chikadze, but he'll have a chance to play the spoiler here against the hometown favorite. Caceres stands 5'10” with a 73.5-inch reach.

Sean Woodson (11-1-1) has gone 5-1-1 since joining the UFC back in 2019. Of his last five fights, he's notched four wins along with a split draw against Luis Saldana, but comes into this bout riding back-to-back wins over very solid competition. With the city's skyline tattooed across his stomach, he'll be looking to make his hometown fans proud. Woodson stands 6'2″ with a 78-inch reach.

Why Alex Caceres Will Win

Alex Caceres ran into a very motivated Giga Chikadze in his last fight and the two weren't really on the same level in terms of the striking abilities. While Caceres is unique as a striker in his own right, his unorthodox movements and abilities to mix up his output is what turned decisions in his favor during drawn-out fights. He's been very aggressive over the last five fights in searching for the knockout, but if he's unable to get it, Caceres is more than willing to point-fight his way to a three-round decision. He'll be facing another active boxer in Sean Woodson, so he'll have to make sure to match the striking pace and have the bigger striking moments in this fight.

Sean Woodson is a very consistent boxer and Caceres won't have an easy time fighting back in this one if he falls behind early. He'll have to gain the respect of Woodson early and not allow him to get clean shots off throughout the opening rounds of this fight. If Caceres is able to gain Woodson's respect and create a bigger striking distance between them, “Bruce Leeroy” should see success throwing his acrobatic kicks and strikes from range.

Why Sean Woodson Will Win

Sean Woodson has had an impressive run over the last five fights and his boxing skills are some of the best in the division. He also has one of the longer frames for a featherweight fighter and uses it to his advantage, popping opponents from range with his jab and constantly using his foot movement to circle away from strikes. When stringing combinations together, Woodson is a complete technician, landing over 5.4 significant strikes per minute at a 50% clip. When he senses the finish coming, Woodson is quick to pounce on his opponent and finish the job with his quick hands. Look for him to quickly close the distance on Caceres and make this a brawling fist fight.

Sean Woodson's two most impressive performances have come in the lead up to this fight as he recently took down rising prospects in Dennis Buzukja and Charles Jourdain. His win over Charles Jourdain was particularly impressive as Woodson was able to use his length and reach to neutralize any offense for Jourdain. Look for Woodson to be extremely motivated fighting in front of his hometown and staying local for the fight camp leading into this bout.

Final Alex Caceres-Sean Woodson Prediction & Pick

This should be a fun fight on the Main Card and Sean Woodson is expected to get a loud pop as the hometown favorite from St. Louis. Both fighters have extremely fan-friendly fight styles as they're both willing to stand and strike in the center of the octagon for all three rounds. Both men are also long for the division and we should see a measured bout with two strikers trying to find their range.

Alex Caceres has a chance to make this fight interesting with his unorthodox striking tactics and ability to keep opponents guessing. He's also very willing to engage in grappling exchanges and we've seen him pull off some unlikely submissions in the past. Don't be surprised if he turns the tide multiple times and threatens Woodson with his grappling game.

Still, Sean Woodson will be the much more technical and sound striker as he'll look to counter whatever Caceres throws at him. Woodson is very consistent with his jab and if he's able to keep his head off the center-line, it should open the window for him to land some devastating counter strikes in return.

For our prediction, we'll roll with the hometown fighter in Sean Woodson to get the win. He's riding a ton of momentum now and coming into his own as a striker. If he can keep his game consistent and not play into the unpredictable game of Caceres, he should be able to treat these fans to a win.
