Sean “Diddy” Combs is still feeling the backlash since CNN released video footage of him beating his ex.

Deadline reported that Revolt, a company co-founded by Diddy, issued a statement condemning the rap mogul's actions.

Revolt addresses Diddy's recent video of assault

The post on Instagram reads: “We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulating of our former Chairman, Sean ‘Diddy' Comb. Even with his recent separation from REVOLT, it is still our duty to address this matter and recognize the direct impact it has on our staff, our audience, and the culture we represent.”

It added: “REVOLT stands in solidarity with all who have been a victim of abuse and remain committed to upholding the values and integrity our community expects from us. We vehemently stand against any form of domestic abuse and will always be a fearless advocate for truth and accountability.”

At the end of the post, there's a number for the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Responses to the post are quite mixed, with many commentators feeling like they hid his violent behavior from the public and were part of the problem.

“Great PR response, but I'm sure y'all knew his character,” wrote someone.

“I bet y'all would've been quiet as a church mouse if he wasn't the former Chairman. This is about your brand, not because you authentically care. Try again,” another user added.

That said, many people also thanked Revolt for making a statement and addressing the issue.

“These comments shows no matter what you can't please everyone. Pretty sure they feel pain for Cassie like the rest of us but the fact that Sean was once owner…they have to speak up and apologize to the culture they wasn't aware of what type of man he was in the dark…they worked for him he may have showed something different…we all know that and seen ppl like that,” another user wrote.

Diddy and Andy Schuon started Revolt in 2013. After misconduct allegations in November 2023, Combs stepped down.

Diddy issues an apology

This all comes as Diddy posted an apology video on Instagram on Sunday. In the clip, the rapper said, “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video.”

He added, “I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I'm so sorry. But I'm committed to be a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgives. I'm truly sorry.”

We'll see where this leads with Diddy and the whole situation with his ex, Cassie Ventura. Considering his recent raids and now this video release, it seems like things are just getting started in the rap star's downfall.
