We're back with another UFC St. Louis betting prediction and pick and the Main Card action is heating up. This next bout takes us to the Lightweight Division for a battle of brawlers as Brazil's Diego Ferreira will take on Poland's Mateusz Rebecki. This fight is sure to be fireworks! Check out our UFC odds series for our Ferreira-Rebecki prediction and pick.

Diego Ferreira (18-5) has gone 9-5 after a decade of fighting in the UFC and the 39-year old is ready to add another chapter to his journey. He recently went on a three-fight losing streak, but bounced back with a resounding KO-win over Michael Johnson in his last bout. He faces another willing brawler in his opponent here. Ferreira stands 5'9″ with a 74-inch reach.

Mateusz Rebecki (19-1) is still perfect through three fights in his UFC tenure. His last two bouts have been impressive finishes as he took down Loik Radzhabov with a KO and most recently submitted Roosevelt Roberts with an armbar. He'll look to stay perfect and finish another fight early as he heads to St. Louis. Rebecki stands 5'7″ with a 66-inch reach.

Why Diego Ferreira Will Win

Diego Ferreira recently went through a tough stretch of bouts that couldn't see him grab a win. Prior to his last win, he rode a three-fight losing streak for the first time in his career. While many counted him out against a legend like Michael Johnson, he stayed composed and found a blistering knockout with an overhand punch. The strike sent Johnson stiff to the canvas and Ferreira finished the job with subsequent shots on the ground. At his age, every ounce of power is still with him and he'll be looking to match Rebecki shot for shot in this one.

Diego Ferreira is the much more active fighter on his feet and he does a better job of moving out range than his opponent does. He's also twitchier in his movement and fights at a high pace, which could be a confusing shift for a power puncher like Rebecki. Look for Ferreira to work his leg kicks early as he did in the Johnson fight as he tries to land a knockout blow in this one. He'll need to keep his defensive guard high if he wants to avoid the same fate from his opponent.

Why Mateusz Rebecki Will Win

Mateusz Rebecki has been flawless in the UFC up to this point and he's only suffered one loss through his 20-fight professional career. He's built like a brick house and his hand speed is deceptively fast given his physical build. He's not the quickest fighter when it comes to moving around the cage, but he's very consistent in his attack and doesn't waste many movements when walking his opponent down. He's also very skilled as a jiu jitsu practitioner and will be looking for submission attempts when scrambling on the ground.

We've seen Rebecki have issues with his cardio in the past, so the hope is that he comes into this fight with an improved gas tank. He's been able to finish opponents inside of the distance through his last two bouts, but given how tough Ferreira is to put away, this could be a fight that extends through the later rounds. Rebecki should have all the physical advantages and if he's willing to fight a smart bout, he should come away with the win.

Final Diego Ferreira-Mateusz Rebecki Prediction & Pick

This will be another banger on the Main Card and given the outcomes of their last few fights, both men will be looking to end this fight inside the distance and keep it out of the judges' hands. Both fighters have tremendous knockout ability and both will be fully aware of the power coming back toward them.

Diego Ferreria looked great in his bout against Michael Johnson and although Rebecki is a much younger competitor, Ferreira has a chance to stun him early and gain his respect with the power. He's also the fast guy and could see success through the wrestling scrambles if he stays a step ahead of Rebecki.

Mateusz Rebecki is currently unbeaten in the UFC and his mix of power, strength, and wrestling abilities has carried him up to this point. He's not one to take big chances in terms of the striking, but he may have to walk through some shots if he wants to get to Ferreira's chin.

For our prediction, we're going to roll with Mateusz Rebecki to continue his perfect streak in the UFC. Of the two, Rebecki is just the fresher guy and he hasn't seen nearly as much damage as Ferreira through this point of both their careers. I also expect this fight to end inside the distance as Rebecki won't be looking to fight all three rounds.
