It is the most exciting game in all of sports as Game Seven is on tap between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins.  It is time to continue our NHL odds series with a Maple Leafs- Bruins prediction, pick, and how to watch.

After dropping both games at home, things looked dire for the Toronto Maple Leafs. They were down three games to one heading back to Boston. Toronto started game five hot though. They would score just 5:33 into the game on a Jake McCabe goal, assisted by Mitch Marner and Max Domi. It would take the Bruins eight minutes and 21 seconds to respond, as Trent Frederic scored to tie the game. From there, it was all about the goalies. Joseph Woll would have 27 saves in the game for the Maple Leafs, while Jeremy Swayman would have 31 saves. Still, it was Swayman who would allow the second goal. Two minutes and 26 seconds into overtime, Matthew Knies found the back of the net to force a game six back in Toronto.

In game six William Nylander finally broke the 0-0 tie with just 55 seconds left to go in the second period. It was his first goal of the series. He would grab the insurance goal with 2:13 left to play before the Bruins scored with just a second left in the game but would still fall 2-1. Now game seven will be in Boston.

Why The Maple Leafs Will Cover The Spread/Win

For the Maple Leafs to make the comeback, they would like to see Austom Matthews back for this one. Matthews has just one goal in the series after leading the team in goals in the regular season. Matthews had 69 goals in the regular season with 38 assists, good for 107 points. He has just three points so far in the playoffs, with two assists as well, and just one point on the power play. Further, Matthews missed games five and six of the series. He is considered day-to-day currently.

William Nylander also finally made an impact on the series. He scored twice in game six of the series, his first two points of the series. Nylander was second on the team in points this year, with 40 goals and 58 assists, good for 98 total points. John Tavares has just one goal and one assist so far. He was third on the team in goals, scoring 29, while having 65 total points. Mitch Marner has a goal and two assists but also scored more than a point per game in the regular season, scoring 26 goals and having 59 assists, good for 85 points.

Joseph Woll has been amazing in the series so far. He came in for a relief appearance in game four of the series, stopping all five shots he faced. In-game give, he stopped 27 of 28 shots, taking the overtime win. last time out, he stopped 22 of 23 shots and took a second straight win.

Why The Bruins Will Cover The Spread/Win

The Bruins have been getting great production from their major players. Brad Marchand has been wonderful with three goals and five assists, good for eight total points. Marchand was second on the team in points this year, having 29 goals and 38 assists in the regular season. He was shut down in game five though, with no shots on goal and four penalty minutes.  It continued with just two shots and a minus-one rating in game six.

David Pastrnak has two goals and two assists in the playoffs. He led the team with 47 goals and 63 assists in the regular season, good for 110 points.  Charlie McAvoy continued where he left off in the regular season, having four assists so far in the playoffs. McAvoy had 35 assists during the regular season and 12 goals. That placed him fifth on the team in points this year. Jake DeBrusk has also been great with three goals and two assists.  DeBrusk scored 19 times in the regular season while also having 21 assists.

It is projected to be Jeremy Swayman in goal again for this game. Swayman has been solid in the series, but also now has back-to-back losses. He has been over a .920 safe percentage in all five of the games he has started, as he did not start game two of the series. He also has yet to allow more than two goals in a single game. Still, with the Bruins's struggles to score, they have now lost two straight.

Final Maple Leafs-Bruins Prediction & Pick

This should be a great game seven between two solid teams. In the NHL playoffs, hot goaltending goes a long way. The Maple Leafs have that. They could easily pull off the win in this one, but even more, it will be low-scoring. The last three games have seen a total of under 5.5 goals. That is going to continue in this one. Take the under.
