On Monday Night RAW, CM Punk cut a massive seven-minute promo on Drew McIntyre for always running away from the fight, even if he literally saw his car drive away moments before he exited his own vehicle.

Would it have been cool to see McIntyre and Punk duke it out either on the mic or in the ring on Monday Night RAW? Most definitely, but hey, in the end, fans got the next best thing when McIntyre, hanging out in either his backyard or a public park, decided to fire back on his in-ring foe, going for nearly three minutes without so much as a peep from Michael Cole or Pat McAfee on the microphone.

“Let’s talk about CM Punk, shall we? I know you’re all gonna say, ‘What a shock. Why didn’t you say all this on raw? All you do is talk on social media.’ The stuff Punk has planted in your head. But by the end, you’re gonna say, ‘D**n, Drew’s right again.’ There’s a reason I do a lot of my talking on here. It’s not always possible to deliver your message on live TV effectively. You’ve got so many people working against you. You saw that with Pearce last night, or hear our trusted voice of WWE, ‘trusted’, Michael Cole, plant lies into our viewers’ heads,” Drew McIntyre told fans on social media via WrestleZone.

“Nobody can stop me here, embarrassing CM Punk again. All I want is for people to see one simple thing: the truth. I’ve not lied once. Somebody show me where I’ve lied, and I’ll admit fault. I haven’t. I’ll give Punk his props. He’s a master of spinning the narrative to suit his own image, his own agenda. He should really consider politics after I end his career. The guy could literally sell ice to an Eskimo. He sells the marks BS, and they just lap it up every single time. The last two weeks, he’s avoided me. Last night, as I literally left the arena, what a coincidence, he drove right in. Of course he’s got stooges on the inside. Of course, it was part of the plan. Then he heads to the ring, acts the tough guy, calls me a coward. It’s clear to anyone with any sense the coward was standing right there in that ring. I pulled over because my phone was blowing up.”

“By the time I got back to the arena, shocker. He left. The week before, he picks a skybox. He’s up there, making fun, calling me out. So I go to find him. Where is he when I get there? He’s in the ring. He’s the one doing the running. He knows when he comes face to face, that’s it. The end. No more mouth-running. No more, ‘I’m gonna punch his face in’ or whatever threat he said. I’m gonna cave his actual head in. Look at me. Look at my track record. He’s done for, and he knows it. He’s maximizing his time, he’s getting what he can out of this before Drew McIntyre exposes him. I’d run from me too.”

Funneling down to the point, McIntyre decided to address Punk directly, letting him know that he was just about done with his behavior.

“Punk, you’re a hypocrite. You say all I do is live on social media. You spent the whole week pretending to be locked in WWE headquarters, and you posted it to your Instagram. You made these comments on TV. Only the nerdiest of basement-dwellers would ever actually understand. Let’s break down what you’ve actually done since you’ve done since you’ve done this place up, and break down is the operative word here,” Drew McIntyre declared.

“You’ve had exactly one televised fight. You lost, you got injured, by me. You hung around at TV, headquarters and TV like a bad smell. Go home to Larry. You’re playing a game of hide and seek that you think you’re winning. But you’re not. One last thing. I heard what you said. If you actually turn up to Glasgow, you’re not gonna leave in one piece. It won’t necessarily be my doing, mate. That’d fair warning.”

Will Punk's Triceps and McIntyre's elbow be in good enough order to work a match at Clash at the Castle in Glasgow on June 15? It's impossible to know, but considering how hard both sides are pushing in the lead-up to an eventual match, fans had better hope they get well sooner than later, as this schtick will eventually get old if there isn't a payoff in the not-too-distant future.

Drew McIntyre warns Michael Cole to chill out on the criticism.

Speaking of Michael Cole and Pat McAfee trying to craft the narrative surrounding Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, the “Scottish Warrior” warned the latter about the former's attitude on the mic on his ESPN show, as otherwise, he might have to take matters into his own hands.

“I suggest you have a talk with Michael Cole. He's got the most powerful voice in WWE. He controls the narrative in WWE, whether people realize it or not. He puts the thoughts in their head that they're constantly thinking. One time, he was telling them, ‘Drew McIntyre is the centerpiece of WWE. He got us through the pandemic.' I did, and these days he calls me delusional, he calls me a hypocrite,” Drew McIntyre told Pat McAfee via Wrestling Inc.

“It's appropriate he comes from the background he does in the mainstream media. He controls the narrative of WWE, and right now, I don't like the messages he's putting out about Drew McIntyre. I suggest you get in his ear, or I'm going to get in his face and start smacking him around.”

If McIntyre is unable to wrestle any time soon, picking a fight with Cole might be a fun way to get a few more weeks out of this feud, especially since Punk appears to be cozying up with McAfee as of late. Certainly, something to ponder.
