It's time to take a look at our NBA odds series, where our Knicks-Pacers Game 6 prediction and pick will be revealed.

Despite being banged up for the majority of their postseason run, the Knicks have shown that they have huge hearts each time they lace up the sneakers for battle out on the hardwood. With their backs up against the wall, the Indiana Pacers season comes down to Friday night. Simply put, the Pacers will want to get the bad taste out of their mouths from Game 5 almost immediately. Thanks to what should be a raucous crowd in Indiana to support the team, can the Pacers dig deep and force a do-or-die Game 7 in the Big Apple?

Why The Knicks Could Cover The Spread/Win

Without a doubt, not a whole lot went wrong for the Knicks last time out. By the time the clock had hit triple zeroes in the 30-point blowout win over the Pacers, the Knicks outplayed their Eastern Conference counterparts in every facet of the game. At first glance, New York dominated Indiana on the boards en route to putting up 29 more shot attempts which ultimately ended up being a big reason for the Knicks inflicting a surplus of damage. Running hand in hand, New York was able to edge Indiana in second-chance points by a margin of 26-9. If the Knicks can once again dominate in this category, then the chances of them covering the spread will only skyrocket.

Of course, it is also extremely vital that New York happens to possess the best player on the court. Not needing an introduction due to his eye-popping and heroic play, point guard Jalen Brunson is a big-time shot-maker that can sink the hopes and dreams of an opposing team at any possible moment. Fresh off of dropping 44 points while dishing out seven assists, the Knicks' aspirations of clinching a berth to the ECF falls on the shoulders of Mr. Brunson in Game 6.

OG Anunoby is out for Game 6.

Why The Pacers Could Cover The Spread/Win

It's now or never for the Pacers. Clearly, Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be in a thunderous uproar prior to tip-off and they will need all of the energy they can get after laying an egg in New York during Game 5. Luckily, Indiana is unbeaten on their home floor and Indiana fans could make life difficult for the visiting Knicks for all four quarters. Furthermore, the Pacers have won 10 straight home games dating back to the regular season and are extremely tough to beat in front of a jam-packed crowd.

Above all else, the path to a spread-covering victory for the Pacers depends on how well guard Tyrese Haliburton responds after an impactful outing in Game 5. In the loss, it was Haliburton who scored a quiet 13 points and shot an underwhelming 25% from deep. Since Haliburton is Indy's go-to player in critical moments, it will be up to head coach Rick Carlisle to draw up some plays to get the 24-year-old floor general some cleaner looks than what he got in New York. If Haliburton brings his A game on Friday night, then the Pacers may end up forcing a Game 7.

Since Indiana has played some of its best basketball of the season coming off of disappointing outcomes, don't be surprised if it's the Pacers that storm out of the gates in Game 6. As long as Indy can get off to a red-hot start on both ends of the floor during the first quarter, then their confidence should only grow as the game progresses into its later stages.

Final Knicks-Pacers Prediction & Pick

Shockingly, the Knicks have not been to the Eastern Conference Finals since 2000. Unfortunately for New York fans, they are going to have to wait until Game 7 to make that return as Indiana will prove to be too stout at home.
