The NBA is always evolving, but when it comes to shooting, it's expanding. The art has earned appreciation with a new focus on small ball, dominating wing play and a barrage of broken three-point records. Of course, you can thank the Golden State Warriors for much of it.

Reaching 73 wins is special. 402 three-pointers by Stephen Curry is scary special. The success takes more than the best shooters. For a team to feast off the most unpredictable aspect of the game, the coaching has to be flawless. To much credit of Steve Kerr, the Warriors made it look easy. However, when putting them to the open catch-and-shoot test, the success is truly unfair.

Meddling in the middle of the pack with an average number of open three-point opportunities, the Warriors offense isn't about finding easy threes; it's about making them.

Of course, it's a make or miss league, and the Warriors conversion is simply boundless. The standard deviations to the left are much more dense, as most teams found a sub-league average of open threes last season, with Toronto making the most out of their few opportunities. Even the more tested San Antonio offense found more open three-point attempts, but converted substantially less.

True confirmation that Golden State has the most pure shooting we've ever seen. That core remains with the league's top two three-point shooters remaining on the team with Kevin Durant entering the picture.

Let's also take a moment to wish well for the Hawks shooting and the Lakers shot selection.
