Many NBA fans will always remember the monstrous comeback LeBron James and the Cavaliers put up from a 3-1 deficit in the 2016 NBA Finals. Additionally, Warriors fans may consider Draymond Green's Game 5 suspension the tipping point the Cavs needed to gain a winning momentum. Now half a year later, Green sheds some light on his feeling about the crucial ban.

“I don't really think about [the Finals] at all, honestly,” Green remarked. “It is what it is. What happened is gone to me. I've learned from things from the Finals and continue to push ahead.”

Green truly did learn just how dramatic tensions can be in such a heated contest, one where all eyes are on him and his team. Green justifies reaction but knows he must make an adjustment to his behavior moving forward.

“If someone walks over me, I'm going to always react,” continued Green. “I still look at the play and wonder, ‘Why was I suspended?' To each his own. It's out of my control. But I just won't put myself in that position.”

Nonetheless, the talented power forward has internalized this moment and knows ow to prevent it from ever happening again. Seeing how his team currently boasts the best regular season record so far, maybe this Game 5 suspension was just what he needed to focus on the factors he can control.

“I'm over it already. I'll never forget it. You can't change it. I try not to worry about things you can't change. And I know I can't change that, but I'll never forget it. But I'm all the way over it.”
