During the 1990's, Allen Iverson was revered as one of the best players not only in the NBA, but in the world. His skill set was so profound that he was able to score at will and was a game-changer night in and night out. What's more impressive is that he is not the tallest of players and only stands at 6-feet.

Now, he sees himself in one of the smallest players in the league today, the 5-foot-9 Boston Celtics‘ point guard, Isaiah Thomas.

Last year's All-Star recently revealed how Iverson has served as an inspiration to him to continue to thrive in the league despite his height.

Via ESPN:

“It was real early in the morning that he texted, like 8:30, so he must have been watching highlights [of the Minnesota [Timberwolves] game] or something, I told him, ‘I appreciate it and that I'm just trying to be like you.' He was like, ‘Say no more.’ Those texts man, it just motivates me to keep going. Someone like that is watching me without me even reaching out to him, so I guess I’m doing something right.”

With The Answer reaching out to Thomas and giving him advice that he can use to motivate himself even more, it can work wonders for his confidence and further improve his game.

He has undoubtedly become the leader of the Celtics who are emerging as one of the teams that could contend against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the East and now he can add the Hall-of-Famer to the list of people believing in him
