David Fizdale is about to welcome a new member to his coaching staff.

According to The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Memphis Grizzlies have reached an agreement with former Houston Rockets interim coach J.B. Bickerstaff to fill the lead assistant position.

Bickerstaff recently withdrew his name from the pool of coaching candidates from the Houston Rockets to pursue work elsewhere.

Bickerstaff became interim coach of the Rockets when ex-coach Kevin McHale was fired 11 games into the 2015-2016 season. The Rockets went on to complete a 37-34 record before being eliminated from the first round of the playoffs by the Golden State Warriors.
