The much-awaited BIG3 summer league has hyped many hoping to see former NBA stars battle it out in an action-packed 3-on-3 format. Founder Ice Cube has been promoting the league since the start of the year, only to put the final nail on the board, partnering with FOX Sports for broadcasting rights of its inaugural season, the network announced.

FOX Sports 1 is slated to air a two-hour BIG3 program each Monday evening during primetime in the summer. The league will tip off on June 25 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, with the first TV broadcast taking place on May 26. The BIG3 championship game will also air live on the FOX broadcast network.

“This is a big day for the BIG3,” Ice Cube said on Fox Sports 1's Undisputed. “We are very excited… we’ve been waiting for this day. It’s extremely exciting to be here with FOX Sports. They definitely see the picture and see the great things we are trying to do.”

Ice Cube's league has brought along many household names like Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, Jason Williams, Chauncey Billups, Mike Bibby, among others — making this a must-see experience for any fan of 90's and early 2000's NBA basketball.

“This is an ideal fit for FS1,” said Charlie Dixon, FOX Sports EVP of Content/Original Programming. “It will be appointment viewing for any basketball fan, showcasing star-power, fiery personalities and classic matchups on the court.”

The league has also made an effort to establish former legends of the game in Julius “Dr. J” Erving, Clyde “The Glide” Drexler, and George “The Iceman” Gervin — all of which would take part in coaching one of the eight teams that will take the court in the BIG3 debut season.
