A report surfaced this week that Billy Donovan was in Bloomington, Ind. on Friday to interview for the Indiana University head coaching job.

False.

Donovan addressed that report with media on Saturday.

Via The Oklahoman:

“Yesterday morning, I was here in practice,” Donovan said. “I was not there. I was here in practice and actually was in a couple meetings, and then went to Russell (Westbrook's) bowling charity last night.”

Indiana has a tradition as one of the most storied college basketball programs in the nation, although it's fallen short of the national spotlight in recent history. With the position now open, rumors are beginning to fly all over.

Donovan was of course one of the most successful college basketball coaches ever during his tenure with the University of Florida. He won back-to-back national championships with the Gators in 2006 and 2007 before taking the Thunder job before last season.

Donovan says he's happy in OKC and added how he will handle discussing coaching jobs in the future.

“I love it here,” Donovan said. “I love the guys I work with every day. I love our staff, the organization. As far as I’m concerned, my commitment is totally here and doing the best job I can while I’m here.

“I think a lot of times I’m just not gonna openly talk about other situations or specific jobs,” Donovan said Saturday. “I’m just not gonna do that, because I don’t think it’s fair to the institution or the people that are in charge there. I made a comment about how I felt about being here, and I still feel the same way today about that.”

Thunder fans don't have to worry right now. It looks like this was nothing more than a rumor and Donovan isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
