When the North Carolina Tarheels defeated the Clemson Tigers, 89-86, on Tuesday night, both teams' head coaches met near the half court line to shake each other's hands.
However, to the surprise of many, Clemson coach Brad Brownwell was furious when he approached his counterpart from Chapel Hill, Roy Williams. He shook his finger in front of Williams' face and appeared to be having a heated exchange before Williams apologized at least twice.

Fans believed he was upset that the Tarheels attempted an outlet pass with less than 10 seconds to go even if they were already up by four points, but according to multiple reports, Brownwell was infuriated with North Carolina's Kennedy Meeks celebrating in front of the Clemson bench.
I'm told Kennedy Meeks was yelling at Clemson's bench and that's why Brownell was giving Roy the business. Roy apologized, apparently.

Brownell seemed to have accepted Williams' apology as he shook his hand and went on to do the same with his coaching staff.
It will certainly be interesting if this will be a start to a brewing rivalry between the two teams and how the players from both schools will conduct themselves in their next meeting.
