Milwaukee Bucks‘ rookie Thon Maker has been in the news a lot lately, even before he was picked tenth overall in the 2016 NBA Draft. His real age was questioned as well as his build. The question on everyone's mind is if he can survive in the NBA, especially since he's expected to defend the world's best big men.

Now, after working on their strength and conditioning together this summer, Maker's fellow rookie Brandon Ingram is giving him high praise as well as a claim that not a lot of people might say about him.

Brandon Ingram is impressed with Thon Maker

The Los Angeles Lakers rookie told Jeremy Woo of Sports Illustrated in a recent interview that the 7-1 Sudanese-Australian has a lot of muscle than there's to see in his 223-pound frame. He even joked around saying, “One day, tell him to take his shirt off,” to show how muscular Maker is.

If this indeed is true, it will give the Bucks' faithful more reason to be excited this coming season. Their rookie is expected to be a stretch-four they badly need to give more room for Giannis Antetokounmpo and company to drive and operate on the court.

Thon Maker is ready to work

The 19 year old's preparation and work ethic is a pleasant surprise to his team as well. Maker said:

“I just come in and work and do what is required of me to do, and do it professionally, I'm just learning as much as I can from the (Bucks') coaching staff, the players, using that to the best of my ability. Not shying away from anything, I'm coming in to compete every single day. I'm ready. I'm ready to help.”

At this point, one thing is certain: the basketball world cannot wait to watch Thon Maker make his debut for the Bucks.
