The 32-year-old Syracuse product has long been linked to the L.A. Clippers and many believe he will join them this summer once he agrees to waive the no-trade clause he has on his contract. However, he said he hasn’t thought about it yet as he wants to continue to compete for his team.

It’s been no secret that the Knicks tried to move him before the trade deadline last month with some teams even emerging as frontrunners to land the 10-time All-Star forward, but nothing materialized. Anthony is still with the Knicks and made it clear that he wants to remain in New York and win with his hometown team in the future.
Should he eventually agree to be moved to the Clippers, he will have the opportunity to play alongside his good friend, Chris Paul, and form a very strong frontline together with Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan.
The Knicks, on the other hand, will be able to build around promising young big man Kristaps Porzingis and usher in a new era in New York basketball. It can be considered a win-win situation for all parties involved, but will all depend on Anthony’s willingness to move out of New York.
