With more than a quarter of the games already played in the 2016-2017 campaign, oddsmakers still have the same favorites to win the title from the list they released prior to the start of the season.

After leading their respective conferences in the standings, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are still heavily favored to win their sides and meet in the finals once again. The updated odds as of December 19th have been released with the two teams sitting on top of the list.

There may not be much movement at the top, but one team that has noticeably dropped off the list is the Dallas Mavericks after being the surprise cellar-dwellers this season due to the injuries their key players have sustained. They join the Philadelphia 76ers as the teams who are least likely to win their respective conference.

If the predictions of the oddsmakers hold true, it will be the first time in NBA history that two teams will go up against each other in the finals in three consecutive seasons.
