Constant DeMarcus Cousins speculation is becoming somewhat of a yearly tradition, as fans and members of the media consider all options for the All-Star center ahead of the trade deadline. Whilst Cousins is unequivocally elite in his ability, there has always been question marks surrounding his behaviour, creating a dilemma for teams with the appropriate assets to make a move.

One former physical big man that wouldn’t gamble on Boogie is Charles Barkley. When speaking to Sirius XM NBA Radio this week, The Round Mound of Rebound said that Cousins won’t ever improve his attitude:

“I wouldn't trade for him because you're going to have to give up a lot to get him. And then if you – I think it's too late in his career for him to change, and I think he's going to get you fired.

“The kid's got so much talent, but I don't think he's ever going to get it because it's always somebody else's fault.”

Whilst Barkley loves watching the former Kentucky standout, he knows that the appreciation is not reciprocated:

“Oh, he hates me,” Barkley admitted.

The pair's tenuous relationship was highlighted in 2015 when Cousins said of Barkley, “I don't really respect the guy.”
