Appearing in the pre-game coverage of March Madness on Friday, Barkley was in a Kent State uniform as he openly announced how he plans to root against whatever team Lonzo Ball was going against. The Round Mound of Rebound claimed that he has no intention of supporting UCLA because of the team’s affiliation with LaVar Ball.

This dispute started with Barkley calling out LaVar for his comments comparing his eldest son to current defending two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry. Ball did not appreciate the 11-time All-Star’s jab and fired back by going after the latter’s lack of an NBA championship.
Sir Charles would not have been pleased with how the UCLA-Kent State game went as the lopsided contest finished 97-80 in favor of the side from Los Angeles. Projected top-three overall pick in the upcoming 2017 NBA Draft, Lonzo Ball, played well with 15 points, four rebounds and three assists while making six out of his seven field goal attempts.
Ball’s UCLA Bruins are slated to face the sixth-seeded Cincinnati Bearcats next in what should be a more competitive matchup. While it would not be surprising to see Barkley dawning the Bearcats uniform, hearing more trash talk from LaVar Ball prior to this game will definitely be no shock either.
