Los Angeles Lakers point guard D'Angelo Russell found the best time to shake off a rusty shooting night when the ball found his hands with 2.7 seconds left in the game, firing a left wing three-point attempt that careened up and in, giving his team a 110-109 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night.

Russell was an ice-cold 5-of-18 from the floor before his last shot attempt, as the Lakers dealt with a rampaging night by fellow second-year player Karl-Anthony Towns, who tormented the Lakers, dropping 40 points on 17-of-22 shooting from the floor along with a game-high 21 rebounds.

D-Lo's miraculous three-pointer has given the Lakers their biggest win streak of the year, coming out victorious in the last four outings — ironically enough at a time when they needed it the least, as the organization aims for the highest draft pick they could possibly get.
