Los Angeles Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell has been sidelined for 11 of the last 12 games. He is recovering from a knee injury but can not wait to get back on the court.

Russell spoke with the Bill Oram of the O.C. Register about how he's been feeling since he went down in November.

“I feel like it's very boring.”

The good news is that Russell has been able to participate in some basketball related activities, but they were all non-contact drills.

There is no timetable to rush him back, although he is working on an imminent return.

Coach Luke Walton, however, is not convinced that he is ready to ready to play just yet.

The young guard will not return before being able to play in 3-on-3 games as well as full contact practice.

“I waited so long to get back on the court until I felt 100 percent. I feel great. It’s just about knocking the dust off before I get on the court, before I get in the game.”

Russell is  averaging 16.1 points and 4.8 assists this season, and is a big reason the team started the season so well.

Since his injury (as well as others) the team has hit a rough patch going 3-8, and things only gets harder from here.
