After finding out that he is trailing Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia by more than 200,000 All-Star votes, DeMarcus Cousins revealed his reward for fans if they get him enough votes to be named a starter.
With confidence in his vocal skills, the Sacramento Kings center has promised to release his own R&B album to repay his supporters for voting for him the All-Star starting five for the third straight season.
“I think I can sing. I should release this album. You know what, I got a deal for everyone: If you guys make me a starter in this year’s All Star Game, I will release my R&B album. And it won’t be an April Fools joke this time”
Cousins has not been shy to show off his love for music and singing in the past. During the Kings media day six years ago, he took the mic from his former teammates and gave everyone a sample of his hidden talent.
Should his fans take on his challenge and receive enough votes to be named a starter, it will be interesting to find out if he’ll keep his promise and eventually release an album.
