Dirk Nowitzki, a hero to Mavericks fans all around, has even managed to be quite the entertainer. Sports Day Daily News recently took the time to recollect on some of Nowitzki's greatest moments with the media.

“When my daughter wants to play, I'll take her out and it's rained a little bit and it's a little wet, so I put on my Crocs. And one day I must have just not paid attention and I walked out in my Crocs and went to the arena. Everything broke loose from there. The guys were killing me, and the pictures were taken and sent out on social media. My Crocs game is strong.”

As hilarious as he can be, Nowitzki still embraces his love for the game of basketball.

“I see, obviously, reports on Twitter all the time, guys hitting me up ‘I feel bad for Dirk.' Don't feel bad for me. I love what I do and we get paid a lot of money to do what we do. I love competing and I love the sport still. I've been lucky to do it for a long, long time. Came here, whatever, 18 years ago not knowing what to expect and it's been an incredible journey. I don't want anybody to feel sorry for me. I'm going to compete like I always have and then one day it'll be all over.”
