Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr announced that forwards Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala will rest on the back end of a back-to-back on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns, according to ESPN's Chris Haynes.

Kerr has complied with the league's request to provide timely updates when resting players, and given that today is the last nationally televised game for Golden State, the resting of both of these players is unlikely to hurt the NBA and its network affiliates very much.

In their absence, rookie Patrick McCaw and veteran forward Matt Barnes should see extended minutes at the wing, while James Michael McAdoo will play some four instead of his usual “speed five” that he plays from time to time.

Kerr and the Warriors front office will likely keep a close eye on their starters and veteran bench players to get them into the postseason with fresh legs. With no record to aim for and a No. 1 seed virtually in the bag, it's likely this rest situation happens a couple other times for other key players during the last four games of the regular season.
