Fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder filed into Chesapeake Energy Arena ready to rain their boos and show off their signs as their former star and current Golden State Warriors‘ forward Kevin Durant made his return to OKC. Fans did exactly that, with the most trending sign involving cupcakes, which is a reference to a Russell Westbrook Instagram post from the summer when Durant opted to leave the Thunder for the Warriors.
Following an entertaining game in which Durant (34 points) and Westbrook (47 points) went back and forth at one another, including a very heated exchange late in the third quarter, a couple of Durant’s teammates were seen wearing t-shirts with cupcakes on them, trolling Thunder fans.
Draymond Green and Stephen Curry were wearing the shirts in their postgame interviews and even told the media how they got their shirts.

This is the third game of the season between the Thunder and Warriors, with the final matchup of the season coming in Oklahoma City on March 20th. If you think it’ll be any less hostile than it was today, think again.
