Enes Kanter may be deserving but he's not letting it bother him.

Kanter has been one of a handful of names in the discussion for Sixth Man of the Year the past two seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He missed out on it last year and this season has another chance as he is averaging 14.5 points and 6.9 rebounds in 21.6 minutes a night.

Kanter was asked about his candidacy yesterday and let it known he cares more about the playoffs than any hardware.

Not caring about awards isn't entirely true for Kanter though as he has been campaigning with Steven Adams for Russell Westbrook to win the MVP this season. But it's still nice to hear Kanter has his priorities straight with this.

Kanter has been a valuable piece of the Thunder's identity as one of the biggest teams in the league that can bully teams on the boards. The Thunder will need his best effort to make a run in the playoffs.
