Tragedy struck in Denver on Monday night.

Shortly after the BroncosTexans game, the Associated Press reports that a fan fell 30-50 feet from a stairwell while leaving Sports Authority Field.

The person was quickly transferred to Denver Health Medical Center. Sadly, after fighting through the night, the fan passed away on Tuesday morning. Their name was not released.

The Denver Post said that the incident occurred at 9:44 p.m. local time.

Prior to the announcement of the fan's death, the Broncos released this statement:

“A fan was taken to the hospital after falling over a stairwell railing at Sports Authority Field at Mile High shortly after Monday night's game,” read a statement released by the stadium's management company on Tuesday. “Our thoughts are with the injured fan, and we are in the process of learning more about this incident from the Denver Police Department's investigation.”

More news is expected to be released either later today or tomorrow. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the passed fan. They surely left a legacy with their life that we can't possibly do justice to here.
