Former New Jersey Nets player Jordan Williams was one of four people arrested last Friday following a complaint made by a juvenile male that he was kidnapped, robbed, an assaulted by the suspects.

The incident reportedly happened on the night of Thanksgiving where the victim was allegedly abducted, stripped off his clothes, and was forced to enter a local residence in Torrington, Connecticut before being able to free himself and escape.

Williams is charged with third-degree assault, breach of peace, third-degree strangulation, and risk of injury to a minor and held with a $300,000 bail. He is considered one of the masterminds in the crime together with Isamar Dirocie, who also faces the same charges as him, but with possession of a dangerous weapon and tampering with evidence on top it. He is currently being held in lieu of $400,000 bail.

Williams was drafted 36th overall in the 2011 NBA draft following his two-year stint with Maryland. He appeared in 43 games for the Nets in the lockout shortened season that year and averaged 4.6 points, on 50.7 percent shooting, and 3.6 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game.

He was later traded to the Atlanta Hawks together with four other players for Joe Johnson. Even before the 2012-2013 season started, the Hawks had already requested waivers for him and he was forced to bring his talents overseas after he failed to generate interest from other NBA teams.

The 6-foot-10 big man last signed a professional basketball contract with Bilbao Basket of the Spanish Liga ACB back in August of 2013, but after a month, he already parted ways with the team.
