The Houston Rockets will have to make a decision on whether to keep one of their key players off the bench last season or not.

According to ESPN's NBA insider Marc Stein, they have already made up their mind on forward Michael Beasley: they're keeping him.

The small cost to retain his services certainly makes it easier for the organization. Beasley also made a very good account for himself in his 20 appearances for the team last season, with averages of 12.8 points and 4.9 rebounds, shooting 52.2% from the field in only 18.2 minutes per game.

The former number two pick in the 2008 draft didn't live up to the hype out of college, and he even got relegated to playing in China.

He resurrected his career with the Shandong Golden Stars and was awarded the CBA's MVP award. This resulted in Michael being given a chance in Houston to prove himself once again in the NBA. He's definitely made the most out of it so far.

If everything goes to plan as reported, it will be the 6'10” forward's chance to play his first complete season in the league in four years.
