The Jacksonville Jaguars are now 0-2 after falling to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon, and during the loss, head coach Doug Marrone and cornerback Jalen Ramsey got into an intense scouting match on the sideline that led to Ramsey being pulled away by coaches and teammates.

It was probably the most heated we have seen Ramsey on the football field, and that is saying something seeing as how he is well known for being one of the biggest trash talkers in the sport.

Remember: Ramsey and the Jaguars have been at odds since the offseason, as the Pro Bowler was looking for a contract extension, and Jacksonville was not willing to give him the money he wanted.

That led to Ramsey taking shots at the Jags' front office on social media and then showing up to training camp in an armored bank truck.

While Ramsey said the latter was all in good fun, it was obviously symptomatic of a larger problem that faces the Jaguars, and now, we seriously have to question whether or not Jacksonville should part ways with its star defensive back.

During the offseason, I was on board with the Jags keeping Ramsey for the time being and at least seeing how this all plays out, as the 24-year-old is still under contract through 2020.

But after witnessing what happened between Ramsey and Marrone on the sideline this past weekend, you have to wonder if holding on to him and trying to make it work is worth it.

It doesn't appear the Jaguars are going anywhere this season, especially after losing Nick Foles in Week 1. The same problems from last year seem to be persisting, even if this iteration of the Jags is a bit more talented than the 2018 version.

Gardner Minshew looks somewhat promising under center, but with a shoddy offensive line and limited offensive talent overall (not to mention the fact that the defense isn't what it once was), it's fair to question if Jacksonville will be relevant at any point over the next couple of years.

And if Ramsey continues to throw these tantrums? It's going to become an issue, and it's not even like this was in the middle of the season or during a blowout: this was in Week 2 of a one-point loss.

Based on how everything went down between Ramsey and the Jaguars during the offseason, this seems like a troublesome situation that can only get worse, and for that reason, it might be time for Jacksonville to consider trading Ramsey.

If Ramsey does not want to be there, he has to go. It's that simple.

We can debate Ramsey's worth as much as we want, but the only thing that matters here is that the Jags were not willing to meet Ramsey's asking price in extension talks, which may have caused a permanent divide between the two sides.

Even if the Jaguars sit down with Ramsey now and try to straighten things out, we don't know if Ramsey will have open ears.

What we do know is that Ramsey is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and will probably command a hefty price in a trade, so it may be time for the Jaguars to begin exploring that route.
