James Michael McAdoo suffered a blow to the head on Tuesday night as his arm got tangled with Trevor Ariza‘s leg, causing the Houston Rockets forward to fall on him. He hit his head on the floor and he had to exit the game immediately as the huge gash on his forehead had to be stitched in the locker room.

A day after the incident, the Golden State Warriors reserve forward took to his Instagram account to show how big the laceration is. He also took it as a chance to thank all his supporters, as well as the team's fans, for wishing him well.

McAdoo received eight stitches and was not able to return to the game.

It was indeed an unfortunate incident for the 24-year-old North Carolina product as he rarely sees playing time in his three-year NBA career, and Tuesday was an opportunity for him to showcase his talents in a big game. This season, McAdoo is only averaging 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds in only 8.6 minutes per game.
