Kawhi Leonard has worked his way into stardom, and has changed the minds of many people over a time.

He's always been lauded for having the potential to be a great player, but there are always variables in one achieving their potential in the NBA.

Early success for Leonard once led Kevin Durant to say it came from being a product of the Spurs system.

Last season Durant was convinced that Leonard had grown into one of the league's best players.

“I know you guys like to throw that term around, but he's just grown so much as a player. I have to be locked in every play. He can shoot the midrange, he can post up, he can shoot the 3, he can dribble and he's just grown so much as a player. Defensively, probably one of the best guys in the league.”

Jason Terry also had words regarding Leonard. Although he wasn't coming after Leonard directly, mentioned Leonard on his list of ‘B-side players' in the league which prompted Warriors guard Klay Thompson to his defense.

Terry has also changed his tune, and gave high praise to Leonard on his weekly radio show The Runway.

“Kawhi Leonard bar none, is the top two-way player in our league and will go down as one of the best in NBA history next to Scottie Pippen. I mean this kid is phenomenal.”

Terry went on to say Leonard has a better jump shot, and will be even better than Pippen in time.

He also credited coach Popovich, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili for helping him along the way.

The comparisons to one of the NBA greats has Terry sounding impressed after playing against Leonard.
