Jrue Holiday‘s leave of absence from the New Orleans Pelicans is still ongoing.

Holiday asked to leave the team in September due to his wife Lauren Holiday's diagnosis of a brain tumor.

His agent, Jason Glushon, confirmed Sunday that Mrs. Holiday underwent a procedure to have the tumor removed at Duke University hospital.

Glushon issued a statement to provide an update on the status of the Holiday family, per John Reid of NOLA.com.

“Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and support for Lauren and Jrue Holiday over the last several months. I'd like to provide you with a quick update on what has happened over the last several weeks.”

“In September, Lauren Holiday gave birth to Jrue Tyler Holiday. She weighed 6 pounds, 4 ounces. She is healthy and at home with her family. In October, Lauren Holiday underwent surgery at Duke University Hospital to remove a brain tumor. She will continue to recover in North Carolina with her husband Jrue and daughter Jrue Tyler. During this time, we ask that you respect the family's privacy and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”

There is no timetable for the return of Jrue Holiday to the Pelicans for now.
