Undoubtedly, James Harden is one of the best players in the NBA today. He has transitioned to being the sixth man from his days with the Oklahoma City Thunder to becoming the undisputed number one option now with the Houston Rockets.
He could have won the MVP award in 2015 if not for the rise of Stephen Curry. Last year, he even had better numbers than the year before but since his team underwhelmed, he failed to bring home the league's top individual award; plus, Curry was just downright ridiculous.
In a recent interview with Jonathan Feigen of chron, com, Harden's former teammate, Kevin Durant, gave credit to The Beard and made everyone know how his game is respected by other players as well.
Kevin Durant on his friend, former teammate James Harden: "Nobody really appreciates what he does except for the players in our league,”

He also added that he thinks that the Arizona State product is underappreciated and how it was a “sin” not to give him All-NBA honors:
“Everybody on the outside doesn't really appreciate what he brings. Anybody that can put up 29 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and not make the All-NBA team, that's like a sin to even think about not putting a guy like that on the All-NBA team.”
“As a player and someone that played with him and a fan of the game I was (angry) because somebody is right here in front of you and you can't appreciate him. If he were to retire tomorrow, we would have so many stories and videos about how great he is, but he's here right now doing it. Appreciate what he brings.”
