Winners of 12 straight, the Golden State Warriors have been unbeatable as of late due to the sensational play of Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry.

Thompson has been especially been brilliant and is averaging 25.5 points while shooting 51.3 percent and 48.7 percent from three during Golden State's win streak. This is a noticeable uptick from Thompson's play just a few months ago as in January he averaged 19.8 points while shooting 41.1 percent and 41.3 percent from three.

Thompson's scoring has improved recently mainly because he had to take on a larger role offensively after Kevin Durant got injured. But quite surprisingly, Thompson also credits the change of seasons and the warm spring weather to his hot shooting.

“I’d probably say the weather’s gotten better,” Thompson said. “The sunshine has been so good to me. … It just puts me in a great mood to come to the gym every day, get my work in, go home, enjoy it — the outdoors. The Bay Area is beautiful. That’s a big part of it — not even kidding.”

While Thompson's assertion that the Bay Area's warm weather has directly contributed to his hot shooting seems comical, it is hard to argue with the results. Plus, seasonal affective disorder is a real cause of angst for many during the winter and just the mere hint of sunshine can elevate a person's mood. That seems to be the case with Thompson (minus the SAD part) and thanks to the sun, he is playing some of his best basketball of the season, which in turn is helping the Warriors head towards the playoffs with plenty of momentum and confidence.
