Kobe Bryant, at his recent appearance on CBS Sports Radio's “Jim Rome Show“, shared his opinion concerning Kevin Durant‘s decision on joining the Golden State Warriors and took it a step beyond by explaining how this kind of lineup creates extra motivation for the opposing side.

The Warriors, who now feature a team headlined by Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, are now described as a super team. Coming from a 73-9 season and back-to-back trips to the NBA Finals, they are definitely the team to beat.

Interestingly, Bryant's reaction to the news of Durant joining the Warriors didn't match the general feeling of that day. When asked about it, he expressed his point of view.

“I was happy for him. This is something that he wants to do man, he’s happy with his decision. So as a competitor you have to look at that and say ok, how can I figure out, I have to figure out to take apart that team, and so now the challenge becomes how to find cracks within their system within their personnel, how can I take them down.”

Bryant, in his true “Mamba Mentality”, also shared what his approach towards the Warriors would have been like, if he was still playing.

“As a competitor, I would have thought less about myself if I looked at that move and thought that was unfair. If you are a real competitor, you look at that and say ok lace them up, let’s go. I don’t care how many players you have over there, we are still going to take you down.”
