If you wanted to see the New York Knicks season summed up in a single graphic, the unicorn Kristaps Porzingis tweeted a cartoon strip following his right ankle injury against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, one that was unintentionally resemblant of his team’s season.

Porzingis has been dealing with injury since the start of 2017, a passage that can be frustrating for a second-year player. His perception in the offseason after the signings of Derrick Rose, Courtney Lee, Brandon Jennings, and Joakim Noah was likely one of a smooth ride to the finish line, but in reality the Knicks have faced plenty of turbulence throughout the season.
Though to be fair, the Knicks’ season has been more like a stick figure in a unicycle near a cliff, riding its way into the abyss.
