After taking the a 97-83 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 1 squarely on his shoulders, Kyle Lowry vowed to play better and mend his reputation of being a slow starter in playoff scenarios.
But the Toronto Raptors point man won't be able to do so without some adjustments to his game, coming off a 2-of-11 performance from the field on Saturday.
“Every time I was in a screen-and-roll, I had four arms around me,” Lowry told reporters post-game Sunday. “I guess I'm going to have to force shots.”
While Lowry is likely referring to drawing fouls due to the defensive pressure, if he's unable to do so, he won't fare too well taking contested shots against a lanky Bucks defense.

The 6-foot dynamo seemed intimidated after being rejected several times by the 7-foot-1 Thon Maker, who made the most out of his length to keep Lowry away from the bucket.

Lowry attempted only 11 shots in his 34 minutes on the floor, while his running mate DeMar DeRozan teed off 21. Regardless of the choices he takes, Raptors head coach Dwane Casey has the utmost confidence in his All-Star point guard.
“We're gonna go the way Kyle goes,” Casey told reporters after the game. “He's our guy, he's our All-Star. He makes a lot of decisions for us.”
