For the first time in his career, Danny Green will be playing against his long-time teammate Kawhi Leonard.

Green was one of the players who waited for Leonard's free agency decision, and when it was made official that the reigning Finals MVP was joining the Los Angeles Clippers, the veteran forward then announced that he was going to the Los Angeles Lakers.

With both the Lakers and the Clippers expected to dominate the NBA next season, Green can't help but be excited. In fact, the two-time champion said that he's looking forward to the rivalry between the LA teams in 2019-20.

“I think it’ll be a lot of fun. I think it’s a rivalry that’s growing back to where it was before,” Danny Green said, per Maximo Gonzales of Lakers Nation. “I think both teams are very good on paper. We’ll have to see how it’s put together, and I think it’s going to hopefully grow into something that’s unbelievable for the fans to watch, and I’m excited about it. And you never know, these two teams in L.A. playing against each other and having a shot at winning might be interesting.”

Aside from Leonard, the Clippers will be parading 2019 NBA MVP finalist Paul George. Meanwhile, the Lakers will be fielding in four-time MVP LeBron James and All-NBA forward Anthony Davis.

The NBA has never looked so balanced over the past five years, as there are around eight teams in the league who are good enough to win a championship. However, there is no doubt that all eyes will be on the Lakers and the Clippers, as they go head-to-head to see who rules the City of Angels.
