Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal will always be one of the most iconic duos in all of sports history, for both the great times and the not-so-great times. During Monday's edition of NBA on TNT, O'Neal opened up more about his relationship with Bryant and how the duo's feud was blown out of proportion.

“Our beef was sort of like a media beef,” O'Neal said. “Stuff was always said outside but once we got on the court, even at practice, we never really had problems. But it brought back a lot of memories. We talked about the good times, we talked about the bad times.”

After O'Neal watched the sit-down special on NBATV between Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas, he wanted to do something similar with Bryant.

“We did it during his jersey retirement when they [Lakers] retired both of his jerseys,” O'Neal said. “It was a great time. We both realized that we both could've did something different. People ask me all the time, ‘If I could change anything, would I change it?’ My answer will always be ‘No.' Because the story will be more compelling if we didn't win any championships. We won three out of four. I got traded, I moved on and that was understandable.”

A video of O'Neal making the announcement, which was posted on the NBA on TNT's official Twitter account, can be viewed below.

This upcoming interview between Kobe and Shaq should be quite a treat for NBA fans, as the full sit-down between the iconic duo is scheduled to be released during the 2018 NBA All-Star break.
