The Dallas Mavericks are going to miss the NBA playoffs for just the second time in the last 16 years, and at season's end, they'll shift their focus on to the NBA Draft lottery in May, the NBA Draft in June, and free agency in July.

While Dirk Nowitzki isn't getting any younger, the Mavs are also slowing shifting their focus to the future with pieces like Harrison Barnes, Seth Curry, Yogi Ferrell, Nicolas Brussino, and Wesley Matthews (although he's the oldest of that group). The Mavericks currently hold the ninth worst record in the NBA and are likely to get a top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft many are calling one of the best draft classes in recent history.
