The Green Bay Packers will be hosting the Denver Broncos in a matchup between two teams in different spectrums. As everyone points out the most important player in Sunday's game, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will be the main X-Factor for the Packers in Week 3.

There is some familiarity with Green Bay and Vic Fangio, the Broncos head coach. Before Fangio accepted the job in the offseason, he was the defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears from 2015-2018.

However, Aaron Rodgers has performed in his last seven games against the Bears, throwing 14 touchdowns and two interceptions. The Packers offense—including Valdes-Scantling—should benefit from their quarterback knowing Denver's defensive schemes.

When the two teams face each other, all eyes will be on the individual matchup of Chris Harris covering Davante Adams. That should allow Valdes-Scantling to see less coverage on his side of the field.

With Randall Cobb leaving in free agency, the second-year wide receiver has assumed the role as Green Bay's second receiver in the offense. While the Packers have won their first two games, Valdes-Scantling has caught seven passes for 71 yards.

In Week 1, Valdes-Scantling had arguably the most important offensive play against the Bears. Both offenses were struggling to move the ball downfield until Rodgers connected with Valdes-Scantling on a 47-yard bomb.

The 47-yard pass to the 24-year-old wide receiver set up a goal-line touchdown to Jimmy Graham. In the end, that touchdown ended up being the difference in the game with Green Bay prevailing over the Bears 10-3.

As Adams will draw the interest of Harris, Valdes-Scantling will likely see Bryce Callahan in coverage. Callahan has been limited in practice this week due to a foot injury.

At 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, the Packers young wideout is quick for his size and can be a matchup nightmare for the Broncos. To begin the season, Denver struggled to contain Tyrell Williams of the Oakland Raiders.

Williams ended up producing six receptions, 105 yards, and a touchdown. Valdes-Scantling is a similar wide receiver in terms of skill set as Williams. But with Rodgers as his quarterback, he could be in for a breakout performance on Sunday.

We have yet to see the full extent of Matt LaFleur's offense this season. In Week 3, expect the Packers to take more deep shots down the field. That will open up the offense for Valdes-Scantling and the other receivers.
