Kristaps Porzingis has already been traded by the New York Knicks to the Dallas Mavericks several months ago, but there are still some people who can't seem to move on from all the drama that happened in the Big Apple during KP's time there.

Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins recently called Porzingis a ‘diva' because of everything that led to his trade from the Knicks to the Mavs.

Before the end of the 2017-18 season, Porzingis suffered a torn ACL and hasn't played since. However, he reportedly was not happy with the direction that the team is going, which led to him considering going home to Latvia to play there instead.

Although Kristaps didn't publicly address this matter, he made it clear that he no longer wants to be in New York. However, with his recent injury, it was difficult for the Knicks to trade him.

Then came the Mavs back in February. Like the Knicks, they also had a disgruntled young prospect that wants out of Dallas. So both teams decided to a trade which led to Porzingis ending up with the Mavericks and Dennis Smith Jr. moving to the Knicks. Now, both teams are moving on from everything that happened and are hoping that the talented players they got from the deal will be able to live up to their potential.

As for Perkins, it is unclear where he's getting his motivation to hate on Porzingis, but one thing's for sure: he's happy that the Latvian stud is out of New York and that the team can finally move on to the next chapter.
