The Golden State Warriors have been one of the most successful teams in the NBA in the past few years, making the NBA Finals the past two seasons and winning it all in 2015. Fans clamor to see them play live and do not mind paying a lot of money just to secure tickets for their games. However, other teams and their players do not seem like huge fans of the Dubs these days.

Los Angeles Lakers forward Metta World Peace gave his take on why the Warriors are hated around the league. He explained that with them being such a good team, it becomes personal to some because they are very difficult to beat.

World Peace also shared that the Warriors only trash talk during games because they want to have fun, but don't do it regularly. He further made it clear that he is not jealous of their situation despite feeling helpless when he plays against them.

“They are too good. I hate good teams. I hate teams that are good because that means I'm losing. And I take everything personal as a basketball player, so you have to figure out a way to beat these guys, but the problem is, they are a team. They are a true definition of a team and all these other players, while they're into themselves, the Warriors are into the team. So now you're trying to beat a team who is three years ahead of you. The Warriors are years and years ahead of everyone else,”

“They don't talk trash, they have fun. You see what I'm saying? Draymond (Green) talks trash, but at the end of the day, all they're doing is having fun, and you take it personal because they're having fun at your expense, and you really have no chance. The Warriors are years and years ahead of everyone else.”

“It might be a sense where you can't do anything. I don't know if it's jealousy, but how am I going to win, how am I going to beat the Warriors?”

If there's anything other franchises can learn from what the Warriors have done, that education should start by looking at the moves their front office made which have made it possible to win this much in the last few seasons. Warriors players have also been united in showing that they are only focused on winning regardless of all the rumors and distractions around the team. If the Dubs were able to do it, other teams should see it as motivation and have no reason not to follow in their footsteps.
