In his rookie year, Indiana Pacers forward-center Myles Turner has turned a lot of heads with his play. Not only did he produce the numbers to help his team, he also did the intangibles, mostly on the defensive end. The 19 year old also showed that he is the complimentary player the team needed to have alongside their superstar, Paul George.

Though there's still a lot of development to do with him, his game has drawn comparisons to a young LaMarcus Aldridge. That says a lot about the talent of the former Texas Longhorn.

In a recent interview Alex Kennedy of Basketball Insiders, he shared his expectations for himself and how much he thinks he can produce this coming season:

“Individually, I feel like I can put up big numbers for this team and help in any way necessary. I’d like to see myself put up 15 to 20 points per game. That may seem like a long shot, but I feel like I’m very capable.”

His fans expect a lot from the 6'11 big man to continue his impressive play and further improve his game now that the team has an even more formidable lineup. He needs to shoot better from the three-point line and change more shots in the paint with his mere presence. This summer, he played with the USA Select Team and the Pacers are hoping he learned from the experience and further helped his development. But based on his statement, things are looking really well for him and his NBA team:

“I feel like I’ve made huge strides because that pace is so much faster than what people think. I mean, you see them beating up on these foreign teams and now I can definitely see why teams struggle against them. You have to make plays a lot faster and you have to make reads a lot faster, so I feel like that was really good for me.”

All signs are pointing to Turner having a breakout season next year.
