Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers recently came under the spotlight when he refused to stand during the national anthem before a game. Kareem-Abdul Jabbar already weighed in on the matter, and now Lakers guard Nick Young has spoken out as well.
Young told TMZ Sports when asked about Kaepernick's actions:
“I think it's great… I would do the same thing, man… my knees hurt, I might sit.”
The Bay Area quarterback claimed his protest was due to black oppression in the United States, and that he'd donate $1 million to charity to prove he was doing more than just talking about change. Young seems to support that from Kaep as well, when he said:
“He's doing big things, man. I respect everything that he's doing.”
