As part of the NBA Global Games series, the Denver Nuggets and Indiana Pacers will be playing a regular season game in London’s O2 Arena on Janurary 12th, 2017.

The announcement was made on Facebook Live from the NBA’s European headquarters in London. Nuggets guard Gary Harris was in attendance for the big reveal, which was done using specially commissioned street art.

Tickets will be made available at the beginning on next season for the event that further strengthens the NBA’s bond with the city:

British fans are in for a treat, as both the Nuggets and Pacers will be heading into the 2016-2017 campaign with competitive rosters, featuring the likes of Paul George, Jeff Teague, Nikola Jokic, and Emmanuel Mudiay.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver is excited about the event and believes that it speaks for the expansive growth of the league worldwide:

“We are thrilled to return for our seventh regular-season game in London,” Silver said in a statement on NBA.com. “With almost 25 percent of players in the NBA born outside of the United States, we are seeing firsthand the global growth of our game, which has never been more popular in the U.K.”

As a ClutchPoints writer based in the UK, I can speak on behalf of the country when I say that we’re excited to welcome both teams to the capital.
