Sacramento Kings forward Omri Casspi has been part of a lot of trade rumors since last summer, but nothing materialized and he has remained with his team.

The 28-year-old Israeli international was asked recently about it and made it clear that the Kings are not looking to move him nor did he request for a trade from management.

“Zero truth to that. Zero,”

Casspi has been struggling to find his niche within this team and has produced underwhelming numbers so far with averages of 4.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. A lot of expectations were placed on him as he serves as one of the veterans of his team and is set to become a free-agent after the season.

The Kings are currently sitting on a 4-7 record and have been struggling lately to win games. After winning two of their first three games of the season, they lost six of their last eight games and have not seen another reliable scorer emerge after Demarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay.

But if there's any good news for the Sacramento faithful, the team has stayed relatively quiet this year and away from controversies they have been part of the past few seasons. They also welcomed back starting point guard Darren Collison recently after serving an eight-game suspension.

Casspi has been known as a knock-down shooter and underrated passer throughout his career. If the Kings decide to give him additional playing time to boost his confidence once again, he can definitely provide some scoring punch off the bench and possibly become the team's third best scorer.
