Paul Pierce, now in his way to retirement, had no hesitation roasting Washington Wizards point man Brandon Jennings, after he announced he'd be playing at West 4th court in New York, a legendary playground also known as The Cage.

The Wizards were eliminated in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals after an unexpected game by Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk, yet Jennings only contributed seven points and seven assists through 87 minutes in the series.

Pierce naturally took a shot exactly where it hurts the most — right in the stats.

“He need to stay there,” Pierce said during a segment of ESPN's The Jump with Rachel Nichols. “The way he performed in the playoffs this year, he might as well just go all year round on 4th Street.”

Well ain't that The Truth?

Through a 13-game playoff run with the Wizards, the Compton native averaged an anemic 2.8 points and 1.8 assists, while shooting only 38.9 percent from the field and 15.4 percent from deep, while being only a shadow of himself defensively, lacking the spark he showcased throughout the regular season.
