Philadelphia 76ers guard Jerryd Bayless will miss at least the first month of the NBA season due to injury.

Bayless suffered a torn ligament in his left wrist, but only needs enough time to allow it to heal.

The Sixers announced last week that Bayless will not need surgery to repair the ligament, but also did not give a time for his return.

His injury was sustained before the first preseason game, and has kept him sidelined since.

Bayless, who averaged 10.4 points, and 3.1 assists last season, was set to be the team's starting point guard before the injury occurred.

Coach Brett Brown will adjust his lineup and use guards Sergio Rodriguez and TJ McConnell to man the point guard position until Bayless returns.

Nerlens Noel is also due for surgery on Monday on his left knee and will be out between 3-5 weeks.

Hopefully this season isn’t fill with injury woes as the Sixers are looking to finally get over the hump.
